The aim of the Krypton project is to research methods for recognizing cryptographic functions in binary code. To this end, existing tools are being further developed and new approaches are being explored to make analysis with binary analysis programs such as Ghidra interactive.

The Krypton project is a cooperation between the Central Office for Information Technology in the Security Sector (ZITiS) and the Institute of IT Security at the University of Lübeck .
